The Medieval Market is closed for the season and will reopen in Summer 2025.

Traditional Woodworking

Bunratty Castle and Folk Park are delighted to welcome TikTok sensation, Eoin Reardon, "PintofPlane" as he takes up residency in the castle courtyard for Summer 2024.

A traditional Irish woodwork and tool restorer, join Eoin as he demonstrates how he makes an array of wooden items using old traditional methods. 

Over the last number of years, Eoin has made it his mission to learn and share as much as possible about the craft of traditional woodworking – whether it’s using a pole lathe, making a maul using only hand tools, or upcycling sugan chairs, he is sure to have you engaged and enthralled on your next visit to Bunratty.

Join the Blacksmith

Meet James O'Connor, our resident blacksmith and learn about the history of iron-working in the unique setting of the courtyard of Bunratty Castle.

A skilled craftsman, James is delighted to bring is time --honoured craft to Bunratty Castle for visitors for all over the world to witness and enjoy.

Hear the sound of the hammer and anvil as he goes about his daily chores making vital ironworks for use across the castle and folk park.

Bunratty Medieval Market

Friday to Sunday - Summer 2024

Bunratty Medieval Market is located within the Medieval Quarter of Bunatty Castle and Folk Park. Situated right in front of the castle itself, market vendors from all over Ireland will be showcasing their crafts, delicacies, sculptures and art.

Starting on the 3rd of May 2024, the Bunratty Medieval Market will take place every weekend for the Summer season from 10am - 4pm daily.

Access included in your admission ticket.

Closed for the season and will reopen in Summer 2025.
