Live Theatre & Dinner Show with a Christmas Flair

For a Christmas night out with a difference, " A Winter's Tale - Christmas Show & Dinner" is an enchanting blend of classic Christmas tunes and contemporary classics performed by the world renowned Bunratty Castle Entertainers.

A magical evening of festive music, song & feasting

Taking place in Teach na Nollaig located in the magical surrrounds of Bunratty Folk Park, the evening commences at 7.30pm with a mulled wine reception and an enchanting musical performance by our resident harpist and violinist.  

Guests are then invited to take a seat and indulge in a candlelight four-course festive feast, complete with house wines as the world famous Bunratty Castle Entertainers perform an enchanting rendition of much loved Christmas carols, contemporary Christmas classics in addition to some seasonally themed theatrical performances and moving poetic pieces.

Musical Arrangement

We are very honoured to have a number of very distinguished musical composers and directors involved in this season's Christmas Show at Bunratty Folk Park.

Colman Pearse, former conductor of the Irish Concert Orchestra, former principal guest conductor of the Bilbao Symphony Orchestra, principal conductor and music director of the Mississippi Symphony Orchestra and principal guest conductor of the Dublin Philharmonic Orchestra.

Andy O'Callaghan, a composer and actor, known for Mrs. Brown's Boys D'Movie (2014), Drop Dead Weird (2017) and Mrs. Brown's Boys (2011).

Colette Davis, musician and musical director. For many years, she has been musical director of the Bunratty Castle Singers, who have performed at many prestigious events worldwide, including for Sony in Switzerland and on NBC and in Radio City in the US.

Mary McDonagh, Chapel Lane Studios, choreographer from Sligo.

Arrive early and take in the twinkling fairy lights of our famous Christmas Trail of Lights experience. Take an enchanted walk through the winter woodlands and twinkling lights of Bunratty Folk Park, stumble upon festive illuminated displays including the Abominable Snowman of Bunrattythe Giant Christmas Jumper of the Earl of Thomond, the twinkling lights of the Bunratty House and Ardcroney Church, a Traditional Nativity Scene and much more!

Take a stroll up the snow covered village street and enjoy a pre dinner tipple in the charming and cosy surrounds of Macs Pub!
