The Wobbly Circus

Circus Performers & Entertainment

For a fun-filled, action-packed afternoon, pop along to our Wobbly Circus performances outside the tea room daily.

This high-energy juggling and circus show for all the family combines slapstick comedy and clowning with a high level of circus skills.

A fabulous fun-filled one-man show including fire-juggling, unicycle, circus skills and more, prepare for the unexpected and prepare to be involved!

Say Hello to the Easter Bunny & Chick

What Easter celebration is complete without a visit from the Easter Bunny? The Bunratty Easter Bunny is busy fluffing his tail and practising his bunny hop ahead of the arrival of all the boys and girls to Bunratty Castle and Folk Park this Easter Midterm.

Say hello to this fluffy, friendly fellow as he hops his way around Bunratty Castle and Folk Park with little surprises for all who hop his way.

Welcome entertainer extraordinaire, Garry Rossiter

Stiltwalking, Fire Eating & more!

We are delighted to welcome entertainer extraordinaire, Garry Rossiter, to Bunratty Castle and Folk Park this Easter, as he·combines juggling, comedy, audience participation and of course  Danger, in his fun filled entertainment show.

From knife juggling to fire eating, stilt walking to balancing acts, be sure to catch his show, “Juggling Danger” at Bunratty Castle and Folk Park this Easter weekend

Bouncing Castles
Let the kids burn off some energy and bounce away to their hearts content. Suitable for kids aged 2 to 10, our bouncing castles will be located in the Red Barn behind Macs Pub.

All Aboard!

Hop on board the Bunratty Express and enjoy a magical train ride through the woodland wonderland that is Bunratty Folk Park. Pass our enchanting fairy village, the folk park paddocks home to Irish Red Deer, wave hello to many of our friendly folk park animals, marvel at the stunning Georgian architecture of Bunratty House, the beautifully reconstructed Ardcroney Church and many more delightful sights in between.

Board the Bunratty Express Train at the Red Barn located beside Macs Pub.
The train will run from 10.30 - 1.30 pm and 2 - 4.30 pm daily and each train ride takes approx 10 mins. Buggy parking is available.

Blacksmith Demonstration

As part of our Easter schedule of activities, we are delighted to welcome the old Irish tradition of ironworking to Bunratty Castle and Folk Park.

Visitors to the park will get to see first-hand how these farm tools are made, hear about the history of the blacksmiths profession in Ireland and how skills were nurtured and lovingly passed on from generation to generation.

Rebels and Rivals at Bunratty Folk Park

Come along and witness life in a Norman encampment up close and personal. Experience the sights, sounds and smells of Norman knights on the campaign trail. Hear their stories of how they fought and conquered here in Ireland. Also, hear from and learn about the Gallant Gaels who stood against them and defeated them on many occasions.

Enjoy a unique opportunity to see and hold the arms and armour of both the "Stormin Normans" and the Glorious Gaels.

Meet Cathal the Archer, the Lord of the battlefield, and Sergeant at Arms Ross and learn about his duties.
Meet Lady Eleanor, a Norman noble woman and braver than brave warrior. And Conchobhar, the proud Gael, ready to tell the 'oft forgotten story of his people, who stood and stopped the total Norman conquest of Ireland.

Family Friendly Fun

For younger visitors we have a fun and interactive Clue Trail to follow that will bring you and your family to all corners of the park, meeting lots of colourful characters along the way. Learn all about Ireland in the olden days, meet some of some adorable animals and explore our many woodland trails. 

Simply pick up your clue trail at admissions on arrival and return to admissions prior to departure to be in with a chance of winning a Family Annual Membership Pass to Bunratty Castle and Folk Park!

Traditional Music and School Days
Meet our resident musicians and join in on a seisiun or two, guaranteed to have your feet tapping and your hands clapping. Back by popular demand, join Mickey Joe the Seanchaí in the Corrys Pub, as he entertain and enthrals visitors with tales, traditions and entertaining anecdotes.

Traditional Baking & Butter Making
Join the Bean an Tí's in the Golden Vale Farmhouse at 2pm as they showcase the art and traditions behind Irish Baking. Learn why we put a cross on the top of Irish Soda Bread or the secret to making the perfect mouthwatering, creamy Irish butter.

Members with a valid membership card can avail of 20% off the aforementioned prices on presentation of a valid membership card and ID, at admissions on the day of visit. Member Tickets must be purchased at the ticket desk on the day of the event.
