Meet an array of native Irish animals and embrace the vibrant crafts, traditions, and customs that characterise this season.

A Celebration of St Brigid

Embark on a journey of celebration  as we honour St. Brigid, the extraordinary goddess of healing, midwifery, poetry, and crafts. Enjoy captivating stories and legends of St. Brigid, a woman whose charitable deeds continue to inspire and awe us.
 

St Brigids Cross Demonstrations
Delve into the intricate art of creating Saint Brigid's Crosses, an iconic symbol that has graced Irish homes for centuries. Our experienced Bean an Tís will guide you through this traditional craft, demonstrating the meticulous process of weaving straw or rushes into the distinctive cross shape.

Traditional Butter Making
A patron of dairymaids and cattle, join our Bean an Tí's as they perform the time-honored tradition of butter making, a rural practice that has been lovingly passed down through generations. Witness the artful transformation of milk into luscious butter and the skills required for this process.

Joining us on the day will be members of the Clare Vintage and Engine Tractor Club!

Come and witness an array of vintage agricultural machinery at work including water pumps and stationary machinery that are over 100 years old!

Learn about their passion and care for these machines and practices involved in their operation.

Traditional Crafts and Storytelling

Traditional Basket Making
Join basket maker, Tom Delaney as he carries on the time honoured tradition of willow weaving and basket making.  Witness Tom at work in as he makes traditional style baskets and an array of interesting items. He focuses on making them as strong and as durable as possible using locally sourced materials such as hazel and willow.

Traditional Storytelling
Join our Seanchaí, Mickey Joe, in Corry's Pub on the Village Street  as he recalls tales of bygone days and traditional ways preserved over the centuries.

Puppet Shows and Circus Skills with Konor the Clown
Join Konor the Clown for some fun filled clowning around with lots of madness, mayhem & mischief. Performing Magic-Tricks, Juggling, Funny Songs and much more, Konor is a firm favourite with families of all ages with performances taking place in the Corn Barn at various internals throughout the day. 

Ball Pit and Games
Let the kids burn off some energy with our series of giant games and toddler ball pit located in the Corn Barn.

Colourful Characters
Throughout the park over the course of the weekend be sure to pop by, say hello and grab a photo with one of our many colourful characters, all of whom are on hand to enthral and entertain you and your family as you enjoy a ramble through our 26 acres of woodland wonderland! Traditional music will fill the air, played by our wonderful resident musicians!

All abroad the Bunratty Express
Bunratty's train will be fully in operation, to take you on a ride through the magical woodlands! Watch in wonder as you pass by the Fairy Trail, Bunratty House, and HB House!

Throughout the duration of the event there will be numerous dining options available to enjoy a sweet treat or savoury. From freshly brewed barista coffees and sweet bakes and snacks available in our Café located in the admissions building to hot food options available in the Corn Barn Kitchen.

If it is something stronger you seek, Macs Pub, located at the top of the Village Street serves a selection of craft beers, wines and spirits.
