An Afternoon Of Tradional Music, Storytelling & Dance

On Bank Holiday Sunday 4th August Bunratty Castle and Folk Park will host an afternoon of Traditional Irish Music, Dance and Storytelling from 11.30 to 4pm.

The  park’s characters including our resident musicians, seanchaí, supported by local youth performers from Helen Hehir's School of Dance will perform a mixture of Irish music, set dancing, step dancing, and storytelling in various locations throughout the park.

Fun for all ages this event promises to be a lively afternoon, guaranteed to get your feet tapping and hands clapping.

Mike Glynn one of Bunratty’s most loved animators, best known for his traditional festive storytelling at the park’s annual Christmas experience, will on Sunday August 4th entertain and enthral visitors with tales of Ireland of old. Join Mike by the open fire in Corry’s Pub on the village street as he recounts old wives tales of Bunratty in a bygone age. With his colourful style of storytelling Mike is guaranteed to have visitors of all ages hanging on his every word.

Calling all musicians out there!

Ever fancy yourself as one of Bunratty’s famous entertainers? Well this is your opportunity. Bunratty Castle and Folk Park are inviting visitors on the day to bring along their musical instruments and join our residents in some impromptu seisiúns on the village street.
