“Monsters, Misfits and Mayhem” is the theme of the day at Bunratty Castle and Folk Park this Bank Holiday Monday 28th October as for one day only creepy creatures and all manner of monsters are set to invade this idyllic corner of County Clare for the attraction’s every popular Halloween event.
Commencing at 12noon until 5pm, visitors can enjoy a jam-packed schedule of events. From face- painting, bouncy castles, juggling shows, balloon modelling and the ever wonderful Monsieur Gusto onsite to provide some light-hearted relief from all the mayhem for little ones to snakes, lizards, terrifying tarantulas, a talking head and all manner of creepy creatures roaming the park for older kids to enjoy, there is plenty to keep all ages entertained at this spine-tingling event.
Back by popular demand this year is the Halloween Spook Train ride - so be on the lookout for ghosts, grim reapers and zombies as they will appear from out of nowhere to give you a scare.
If you really want to be spooked then you’ll want to explore the creepy crypt in the castle basement complete with Dracula in his coffin, screaming banshee, Frankenstein and the killer rabbit!
New for 2019
Bunratty Castle and Folk Park is delighted to welcome members of the Shannon Musical Society who will be surprising visitors with a series impromptu flash mobs performances of the spine-tingling hit “Thriller” on the village street at various times throughout the day.
Another new addition for this year is the much loved and illustrious children’s magician Joe Daly, best known for his hugely popular TV show – abraKIDabra which airs weekdays on RTEjr. Joe’s magic shows are packed full of really cool modern magic and mini illusions, all presented with Joe’s unique style of comedy and energy.
