Folk Park Animals

There is a place not far from home, where animals wander and Irish wolfhounds roam. Where farming is done in the traditional way, with fields and meadows where children play…

Bunratty Folk Park is home to a wide variety of animals native to Ireland of the late 18th century. From pigmy goats to soay sheep, native Irish red deer to our regal Irish Wolfhounds, baby piglets to native Irish donkeys, meet these animals in their natural habitat and learn about their importance to Irish country life in the early 1900’s. Enjoy a cuddle with some of the folk park’s cutest and youngest residents at our brand new Pet Farm opening in June 2019 which will home rabbits, lambs, goats, chickens and ducks to name but a few.
